by George Hamilton IV - 12/04/04 Country Music Awards winner To Whom it may concern: I had the great pleasure (and privilege) of hearing Charles Pettee and FolkPsalm when we performed together at Doc Watson’s MerleFest festival recently—I was much impressed by their talented set and presentation theme! I had never heard the “Psalms” presented in such a unique and original way before – they seemed to “update and translate” them musically, in a refreshing and creative way through the idiom of acoustic folk and bluegrass-style music.
